Staff Members Cheryl Herrmann, MD Dr. Herrmann is a board certified Family Medicine physician.  She earned her medical degree from SUNY Stony Brook School of Medicine in 2001.  She completed her residency at the University of Tennesee at Knoxville in 2004, then returned to New York in 2005 and worked with Unity Family Medicine at Country Village until September of 2012 when she joined the the providers at Gates Family Medicine. Dr. Cheryl Herrmann is certified by the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (NYS OASAS) to prescribe Suboxone(R) in the treatment of Opioid dependence. Rick Herrmann, MD Dr. Herrmann is a board certified Family Medicine physician.  A native to the Greater Rochester Area, Dr. Herrmann is a graduate of Hilton High School, Class of 1989.  He completed his undergraduate studies at Cornell University in 1993, and received his medical degree from SUNY Stony Brook School of Medicine in 1997.  Dr. Herrmann completed his residency in Family Medicine at Stony Brook University Hospital in 2000 and was the Chief Resident for the Family Medicine department from 1999-2000.  Dr. Herrmann worked as a private practice Family physician in Knoxville, TN from 2001 - 2005.  He then returned to Upstate New York and joined Gates Family Medicine in 2005.
